Meet The Dancers

Alice Humphry

Alice's dance experience consists of a year's Irish dancing lessons at the age of eight plus a spot of country dancing at primary school.

Although her day job at Channel TV is certainly very varied it hasn't so far included any ballroom or latin. Alice says "I'm very much looking forward to taking part in the Dancefloor Challenge and my colleagues are fully supportive of my taking part, in fact they've already given me the nickname 'Ginger'."

He is a Guernseyman who started his legal career as a Lawyer in England, but for the last 27 years has been a Guernsey Advocate.

He used to be a politician, but gave all that up to prepare himself - unknowingly - for his new dancing aspirations!  He says his time is better spent now than when he was in the States.

His hope is not to unfairly embarrass his children and grandchildren.

Liz says that she was glad to find out that she isn't the oldest competitor and that, hopefully the training for this comp will give her the will to do something about the weight which has crept up on her since retiring from competitive sports.

Liz adds that her aim for this competition is to learn and enjoy and that she considers herself very lucky to have been asked to take part.
